Our TruckForce service network is made up of Goodyear equity-owned hubs and independent service providers specializing in the lifecycle management of truck tyres. Role:
Truckforce have an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Branch Manager in Avonmouth!
As an assistant branch manager at one of our Truckforce hubs, you will provide inspirational leadership for the team to deliver the key primary purposes below:
Provide operational support to Hub and Branch Managers to deliver service requirements and controls in Hub or spoke locations. These jobs will include counting of stock and other operational tasks to support the business needs.
Supervise operations in a spoke and Hub locations taking a lead role in distribution of jobs to the local team before taking an active role in the servicing of accounts and customers.
Cover any gaps in service requirements as and when staff shortages appear, or holiday cover is required. This may occasional require supporting administrative roles.
Principle Duties and Responsibilities:
- To carry out the role of TruckForce Technician and occasionally undertake operational tasks to support the Hub and Branch managers to achieve operational objectives and goals. This will include night breakdowns as and when required.
- Manage van weekly checks and collection of timesheets in remote locations and forward to Hub / Branch Manager.
- This role is predominantly a productive field-based role where a dynamic approach is required to balance the primary objective of servicing accounts with occasional managerial support tasks as required. These duties will involve stock control, casings audits / controls and distribution of work.
Skills, Education and Experience:
- Tyre Industry related experience is crucial.
- Experience of dealing with external customers.
- O level/GCSE or equivalent standard mathematics and English language (Desired).
- Commercial acumen and tyre associated tyre knowledge is essential.
- Strong IT skills including the usage of Excel and the familiarity with FOS and GRIPS.
- Able to be flexible, seek responsibility and work without supervision.
- Strong communicator, proven problem-solving skills and have a creative thinking ability.
